Fermentation, Fibre & Live Cultures: What Makes CECII Different

Gut-health products often get grouped together.

A probiotic capsule, a kombucha, a fibre powder and a fermented food can all be described as being “for gut health” — even though they are very different products.

CECII takes a deliberately different approach.

We combine a fermented fruit and vegetable base, chicory root fibre and a specifically selected live culture in one small daily shot.

Here is what each part actually means.

    1. Controlled fermentation

Fermentation is one of the oldest ways of transforming food.

But not all fermentation is the same.

CECII's fruit and vegetable base goes through a carefully controlled fermentation process. Temperature, timing and acidity are managed as part of production rather than leaving the product to ferment unpredictably.

This is important to us because CECII is first and foremost a food product.

We wanted fermentation to be part of how the product is made rather than simply using “fermented” as a fashionable word on the label.

    2. Chicory root fibre

    The next part is fibre.

CECII contains 3g of chicory root fibre per 60ml shot.

Chicory root is naturally rich in inulin, a type of dietary fibre.

Fibre is an important part of our formulation philosophy because conversations about gut health can become overly focused on adding bacteria while forgetting the wider diet.

CECII isn't intended to replace the fibre you obtain from vegetables, fruit, beans, pulses, nuts, seeds and whole grains.

Instead, it sits alongside a varied diet as one convenient daily habit.

    3. Bacillus subtilis HU58™

CECII also contains Bacillus subtilis HU58™ cultures.

    One detail is particularly important:

    We add HU58™ after fermentation.

That means we don't rely on the fermentation process itself as evidence that a defined live culture will be present in the finished bottle.

For consumers, this helps make the distinction between two separate ideas that are often confused:

    A food can be fermented.

And a finished product can contain a deliberately added live culture.

    CECII incorporates both.

    4. Fruit and vegetables still matter

Our two recipes begin with familiar food ingredients.

Carrot & Ginger brings together the naturally warm sweetness of carrot with the brightness and gentle heat of ginger.

Beet & Berry balances the earthiness of beetroot with a fruitier raspberry character.

    Taste was never an afterthought.

Because even the most carefully formulated product isn't very useful if it sits forgotten at the back of your refrigerator.

We wanted drinking your daily shot to be something you look forward to.

    5. Vitamin C

    CECII also contains vitamin C.

    Vitamin C contributes to:

the normal function of the immune system

    and

the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Those are authorised nutritional health claims.

We deliberately avoid promising that one bottle will “fix” your gut, detox your body or solve every symptom.

Gut health is influenced by your overall diet and many aspects of everyday life.

CECII is designed to be one useful component of that bigger picture.

    Why put everything together?

Convenience matters more than the wellness industry sometimes admits.

People can understand what they should do while still struggling to do it consistently.

That is why CECII was designed as a small refrigerated shot.

    No measuring powder.

    No large drink.

    No complicated routine.

    Just shake, pour and drink.

For us, that is one of the most important differences.

The aim isn't to create more wellness homework.

It's to make a good habit easier to keep.

    Daily gut health, made delicious.
